ACNEM Education

The Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine’s (ACNEM) formal education pathway provides practitioners with structured training in nutritional and environmental medicine.

Certification - Part one is the entry point for ACNEM’s formalised training.  It provides foundational knowledge of nutritional and environmental medicine; known as the Primary Modules 1 & 2.  These training packages include nutritional biochemistry and an introduction to each of the speciality areas.  Primary Module 2 also includes training on the safe integration of NEM into practice.  Certification - Part one constitutes four modules of study; equivalent to 60 contact hours.

Certification - Part two builds additional specialisations; extending knowledge and skills in a broader range of health topics.  Participants will gain practical tools to aid integration into daily practice confidently and safely.  This certificate equates to four modules of study; equivalent to 60 contact hours.  

ACNEM Fellowship is a highly regarded industry award and is available to ACNEM members who are practising General Practitioners and Dentists.  It is the highest level of ACNEM education and constitutes four modules of study; equivalent to 60 contact hours.

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the underlying principles of human nutrition and environmental medicine as they relate to health and disease
